Alone Poem
In my models I was trying to focus light down in certain areas to give the simulation to focus on yourself. With the openings, elements and cut outs in the walls, I was trying to get the person reading the poem to think about the other situations around them. In model 1, I putting the bench facing the thick wall with small cut out. I was trying to get the impression that you need to focus on yourself before you can help others. Then with the open space, I tried to get people who are in this area to take in whats going on around them. With the elements, I was trying to get the impression of pieces of a bigger picture that you can't fully see.

ReplyDeleteI like that your models all follow a similar design, but have subtle differences between them. That says to me that you have a strong sense of what you want your space to be. The models are simple and clear. Be careful to not compromise the simplicity by adding complex or unnecessary design elements. It would be nice if the simplicity could stand on its own (i.e. "alone"). - Mary Jones
